'In any land what is there more glorious than sunlight! Even here in the desert where it falls fierce and hot like a rain of meteors, it is the one supreme beauty to which all things pay allegiance ... The chief glory of the desert is its broad blaze of omnipresent light.'
-John Van Dyke

A Wrendition Spread!
A couple of months ago, Gillian Rice, the editor of the Wrendition, the magazine of the Maricopa County Audubon Society, offered to write an article about me and my paintings. She put together a great page of information and examples. As it was for a bird magazine, we chose of course nature related paintings. For the same issue, I also wrote an article about insects - on the hot topic of the endangered symbioses among local plants and their pollinators.
